Spring begins with the faint suggestion of green on the lawn and fields followed by yellowing of the willows and swelling of buds elsewhere. What has been a muted palate of browns, grey and silver transforms shade by shade into full blown color heightened by the sharpness of the spring light.
Contrast is everywhere. Bright daffodils and tulips in the foreground, snow-capped mountains in the background and various states of emergence in-between. The sun is stronger, clouds whiter and every little growing thing waves to us in the wind and says “look at me”!
Spring announces itself and then takes the stage with every form of animal and plant life going full blast to shine, reproduce and show us the splendor of the natural world.
